Three weeks in Grazalema and the nearby Sierra de las Nieves doing a combination of cycle touring and day rides. Bikes were very reliable and pricing very good for both the bikes and the included support for route planning and local knowledge. Everything provided was high quality, and the attention to detail and customer service reflects a well run business that you can trust for your vacation or day out. By far the best rental experience we have had in all our cycling trips.

We rented two amazing electric bikes from Ana at Grazalema Cycling Adventures. She responded quickly to the email request and was knowledgeable about the type of bikes we needed (since we were not experienced riders) and the route that we wanted to follow. The delivery of the bikes is a fantastic option, she arrived on time and the bikes were in perfect order, clean and well maintained. Extraordinary service. The owner, was not only extremly quick to respond to our last minute reservation but also provided us with literally everything we could wish for, when we rented our road bikes for a week. This included blankets to protect the inside of our rented car during transport, saddles of our choice, tools, tubes, route advice. The bikes where in very good condition and we had a lot of run exporing the area.

Hired a road bike for a couple of days. Ana was amazing, she sorted some great routes out, made sure the bike was a perfect fit and in general made my life very easy which in turn made my holiday much more enjoyable. Would definitely use again.

Rented a high end road bike for a week in July. Top class service, bike delivered to hotel with pedals and saddle height as prearranged. The weather was a little too hot at 40 degrees in July to go out every day. However the scenery is out of this world and the climbs long and steady. The roads are quiet with few cars and the choice of routes in the area is extensive. Ana is full of ideas for routes for all types and standard of rider and the bike came with a full set of tools and fresh water bottles. I have rented bikes in a number of different countries and the advice and standard of service from Ana is among the very best. I will return when it’s cooler.

This week we visited Olvera for 3 days cycling and exploring the beautiful countryside around the town. The bikes we hired from Ana at Grazalema Cycling Adventures were Orbea carbon and were immaculately prepared. Ana was really helpful, professional and delivered the bikes with tools, bottles, lights, a track pump and many other items. We have hired bikes all over Europe and these were superb. The area is hilly and well worth a visit...on one of Ana's bikes!

Three of us hired road bikes for a few days of cycling in stunning Andalusia. Ana could not have been more helpful, both in the advance exchange of emails where we sent details of our bike sizing so she could set them up perfectly, and when she delivered and collected the bikes in Olvera. The bikes themselves - Orbea carbon frames with Ultegra - we're simply superb. The guys were extremely helpful when we had a problem with a seat post . It was a suspension post and getting original replacement parts quickly would have been impossible, so after trying to repair the worn out unit (which proved unsuccessful due to the damage) , they persevered and found alternative parts locally and modified them to fit . They were so helpful throughout, taking time to set the bike up for my requirements, providing advice and encouragement and the bike performed beautifully on the tough mountain climbs. I cannot rate this company highly enough. Ana and Juan's attention to detail and customer service is first rate. Their attention to detail from answering questions pre booking to the accessories that come with rental bikes (charging cables for the rear light and blankets to put in the rental car to keep it clean when transporting the bike), is faultless. Ana even kindly created some routes from my rental property that fitted in my fitness and time requirements. If I could give GCA 6 stars, I would and I hope to rent a bike from them again in the future!

best cycle hire we’ve used in Ronda over the last 10 years. Ana and Juan couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly from the point of booking to delivering the bikes , they are really passionate about customer service. From first emails to excellent communication throughout our journey she was punctual thorough and flexible. Can’t say enough about the level of her customer service. This was my first time riding an electric bike and my how they have changed. The combination of age and climbing throughout the trip forced my hand. The bikes delivered. I climbed manually when I wanted and got an assist when I needed it. The bikes were in perfect condition and handled surprisingly well. I wish my chain at home was as clean as this one was. The cycling is challenging and gorgeous. The hill towns are beautiful and there were wildflowers everywhere this May. The routes we chose from those provided, yes we had options, could not have been better. And grazalena itself, what a gem. Be aware that dinner starts late in Spain, so do not slack on lunch. Food throughout was solid, sometimes great and never bad. Hotels are adequate, this is not four star country. In sum, If you’re thinking of a self guided bike trip in Europe I can’t imagine a better choice.

We could really recommend this mountain bike rental. Good prize and friendly clear information in English. We were not sure what route to take as it was quite foggy in the morning and we are not experienced mountain bikers. They perfectly advised us and proposed a few suitable routes. The route is on a navigation booklet and as digital gps file I could load on my Garmin Sports Watch. This was exactly the experience we were looking for.

Friendly and helpful. Accomodated us perfectly with our last minute request and even opened the store for us in the off-season. The trail was exciting and adventurous through the stunning landscape of the Sierra's. Highly recommend.

After visiting the shop in Grazalema we hired 2 normal MTB for one day. Both bikes were delivered to the hotel and the GPS explained. It was easy to follow the tour to Villaluenga. As we had a problem with the condition of ourselves we had to call Juan and Ana and they came to oick us from the spot and drove us to the hotel. This is something we are really grateful for. All bikes (road or MTB we saw and rode) are in very good condition and are of good made. On top the rating is of course for the support given as well :-). Thanks again for this!

Definitely recommend. Ana was fantastic from start to finish. She provided us with great bikes, and even helped us out with a few route ideas. We did a 10 day tour on mountain bikes (equipped with pannier racks) and they were perfect for the job as we could take them along off-road routes. They couldn't have done anything more for us. Will hopefully return to the Grazalema area one day and will definitely rent bikes from here 🙂

We hired bikes for a few days cycling around Grazalema. Over this time we tried the road bikes, ebikes and mountain bikes - all were good quality bikes and well looked after. We got great advice from the owners - Ana and Juan - on routes, and they were really friendly and helpful in general. Highly recommended.

Superb friendly, thoughtful and expert service via email and in person. Ana made sure we had the right bikes for our riding experience, recommended routes, and all the necessary equipment plus thoughtful touches eg a tiny guidebook with recommended places to eat and things to see. I’m not an experienced cyclist so was super grateful for the care. (My partner is and he was looked after well too.) A beautiful set of bikes, clear instructions, easy pick up and drop off, etc. Will be back. Also, I highly recommend paying attention to their food tips too.

A perfect day out Me and my friends rented bikes from Grazalema Cycling Adventures last week and had an amazing day. We used mountain bikes to go off-road and followed a route suggested by Ana using directions and a GPS that had perfect instructions. Communication with Ana was very easy from the beginning, and the bikes were ready to go from the shop when we arrived.I'd highly recommend getting bikes from here, and I'd especially suggest going off-road as the views were really amazing. Amazing Cycling Experience In An Undiscovered Part of Spain Grazalema Cycling Adventures is an incredibly smart, cool, knowledgeable cycling outfitter in a beautiful, undiscovered Spanish village. And there are so many things to love about that. It’s owned by two professional guides. One is a competitive cyclist (Ana). The other (Juan) grew up in Grazalema. They are incredibly dedicated, almost obsessively detail oriented and do everything possible to ensure you have a fantastic experience, whether it’s planning and routing an 10-day cycle tour of Andalusia (like they did for us), doing a guided ride or just renting a bike for the day. Although Grazalema is in the center of a spectacular national park popular for hiking, it has not been discovered by anyone but Spanish cyclists, despite the fact there are two amazing, jaw dropping climbs—Puerto de Las Palomas and Puerto de El Boyar. Our trip was a White Villages tour they customized for us from Antequera through Ardales, Ronda, Cartijima, Grazalema and Arcos de la Frontera. The routes were flawlessly accurate, uniformly spectacular (having ridden in the Dolomites, Girona, Tuscany and Provence, we know spectacular when we see it) and were marked with café, lunch and water stops. 99% of the miles were on well-conditioned, secondary roads with minimal traffic. And although our trip was technically self-guided, Juan and Ana managed luggage, accommodations and random requests perfectly every step of the way. Grazalema is a fantastic village (just enough going on to be interesting) so we used that as a base to do loops. They arranged for massages after one of the climbs and swung by with the van for an assist at the end of one particularly tough day. These are the perks you only expect from those wildly expensive Backroads tours, but Ana and Juan can’t bring themselves to say “no”. The bikes were new, perfectly tuned Orbea Orcas. Apologies if this is all too much information because you just want to rent a couple of e-bikes. But don’t worry, Juan and Ana can hook you up with those too.

An absolute must do experience I booked my two guided cycling tours a year in advance directly with Ana, her written English is superb and she clearly pointed out all of the cycling options to me via email and genuinely helped to guide me towards the most suitable cycling routes given my ability and experience. I am not a regular cyclist back home in the UK but I do enjoy cycling when I have the opportunity to go so it was something I was really looking forward to. My first trip out was with Juan who I met in the store in Grazalema. On first impressions I could see that they had a good range of very modern Road and Mountain bikes available along with lots of accessories and equipment if you wanted to purchase anything. Juan had fully prepared in advance my electric assisted mountain bike and gave a good explanation of how to maximise the usage of the bike before we left their store. The scenery and landscape out of Grazalema into the national park of Grazalema and the Sierra de Zahara is absolutely stunning, Juan was helpful in pointing out the various bird and wildlife including the griffin vultures and wild mountain goats. It was a warm day and we stopped off for cold drinks and to refill our water bottles. For our second trip out, Juan came to our holiday accommodation in El Gastor and on my request we cycled a slightly shorter route of just over 40km to the picturesque towns of Olvera and Senetil. The route was equally as beautiful but probably not as demanding on my backside! Juan was great company and his English was excellent and personally I think anyone visiting the region as long as you can cycle a bike and have a reasonable level of fitness should go and experience a guided bike tour or hire bikes directly from their shop. The area is breathtaking and being on a bike you have the time and opportunity to see it in its full glory.

Juan stepped up when BA let me down and left my bike in UK! I came to Ronda for a cycling holiday with my friends and BA left my bike in the UK... I missed a day of cycling and thought on a Sunday morning at 08:30, in Spain that there woudl be no hope of getting a hire bike.

I spent half an hour on the web and came across Grazalema Cycling Adventures, called them, explained my situation and Juan said he could have a bike with me within 45 minutes.

WOW - what a service! I spent a day on one of their bikes with my friends, rather than alone in the villa. We even stopped for lunch at a fabulous restaurant in Grazalema and Juan popped in to say hello.

Recomend doesn't go far enough!

My wife and I also went on a 60km tour, with a road bike for me and an e-bike for my wife. Juan the other owner was very helpful with planning a route for us and even provided us with routes for my Garmin GPS. The E-bike held it power quite nicely and after 60km with 1200m ascending.

The owners Ana and Juan is very service minded and all equipment is good standard and well maintained. I can only recommend Grazalema Cycling Adventures, if I’m coming back to Grazalema I will for sure be renting my bike at their place.

Wonderful road cycling and great service For may years my wife and i have enjoyed a late spring cycling break in Mallorca but this year wanted to go to a different location that would combine great cycling with other nature and site seeing opportunities.

We settled on Andalucia and after looking at our options chose Grazalema and decided to simplify logistics to rent bikes from Grazalema Cycling Adventure.

From our initial enquiry the attention and customer service provided by Ana was exemplary. She provided all the information we needed and made everything easy.

When we picked up the bikes the little touches like offer of pump, lock and blankets to protect hire car from the bikes in transit set them apart from other companies we have used. they had also sourced time pedals and a Fizik saddle which save bringing my own.

The bikes were good basic Orbea road bikes in as new condition.

As a cycling location the area deserves much more recognition as the mountainous region offers some great climbs through stunning natural scenery and many route options taking the picturesque white towns the region is known for (though don't expect any flat routes!) At the time we visited the mountain roads were very quiet with for long periods of tome only the vultures circling rather ominously overhead for company!

All in all it was a great week with enough left undone that we hope to return again next year.

Juan and Ana dropped off and collected road bikes to and from our holiday accommodation. The roads are a dream to ride and the two visits we made to Grazelema to hire mtb's from the shop itself and then riding the trails were also great and the scenery was beuatiful.
If you haven't been the Grazalema itself before its worth the visit alone, its a classy town and a great place for post breakfast and coffee

Great day out Visiting nearby Gaucin and with a free day before a busy week I searched up options for a guided day ride and contacted Ana. Communication was great from the start re route options to suit etc.

Arranged for a ride for myself and a friend, with Juan our guide for the day. Juan brought the bikes to us in Gaucin and we did a great circuit of 55km or so on mostly quiet back roads, through cork forests, a couple of villages and countryside. The area is hilly but the grades aren’t crazy.

Our bikes were as new and in great condition, they also provided helmets and had the bikes ready with our different pedal clip systems (road and MTB cleats). Juan was a great ride leader and a passionate local to chat with on the areas history.

A Perfect Cycling Adventure My husband & I rented bikes from Ana and Juan at Grazalema Cycling Adventures in March 2019 and went on 2 off road rides. The first was a full day guided ride with Ana and the second a GPS guided ride on our own.
Both were an amazing experience in the beautiful hills around Grazalema.
We booked before we left the UK and Ana took great care to plan & customise the rides to our specification with the right combination of challenge, technical skill, length & climb. The hard tail Orbea bikes we rented were fantastic and set up to our individual specification.
We rode through breath taking scenery over varied terrain, at times up breath taking hills with superb support and guidance from Ana. She not only guided us safely through areas unknown to us, but coached us gently and kindly on our cycling techniques & skills and told us lots of interesting facts about the local area. She is a great guide but also a very strong accomplished cyclist herself both on & off road. At one point, when I was struggling with a climb, she cycled alongside and pushed me up the hill!
Overall, her attention to detail was awe-inspiring. Prior to our GPS guided ride, she gave us tips and advice on what to look out for, including to look out for a couple of over friendly sheep dogs.
Ana & her partner Juan run their business together and it is based in Grazalema village. Ana is Dutch but is also fluent in English &Spanish. Juan is a Grazalema native but speaks excellent English. Their skill and knowledge of on & off road cycling combined with their customer care is an absolute recipe for success. We cannot recommend this company highly enough.

Fabulous day on the mountain bikes !! Fabulous, all round !! We rented two Orbea mountain bikes - the bikes were new, and excellent spec - we were given printed maps of routes, plus the loan of small GPS unit with the route progammed, plus GPX files for my mobile phone - we had a great 31km ride, almost all off-road, a mixture of forest roads & trails - took us a bit longer than we expected, our fault !! Great help & service from Ana & her partner - we are two keen but novice riders - 100% recommended, and thank you for a great day !! 🙂

Incredible day on bike We had a fantastic day mountain biking along one of the trails outside of grazalema. The bikes were fantastic, the trail easy to follow, and the scenery was stunning. If staying in Ronda I would highly recommend coming out to grazalema and going for a ride.

Perfect We’ve cycled this area with Ana twice before, Ana’s expertise and natural enthusiasm ensured we both, Sally (fit, enthusiastic and welcomes a challenge) and me (unfit, overweight, moderately enthusiastic but needing encouragement) had our best ever cycling experiences.

Ana’s knowledge of the regions roads and coffee stops meant we could all ride and be both challenged and rewarded while enjoying the fabulous scenery. Not only that but Ana’s natural ability to coach, encourage and “push” when necessary allowed us both to improve our riding while having a great time.

Absolutely cannot recommend these guys too much, great people, great bikes, great cycling, great countryside and great coffee. What else do you need?

This is an incredible way to discover this beautiful part of Andalusia.. situated at the foothills of the Sierra del Pinar mountain range, you'll be cycling up and down undulating roads which twist and turn through a beautiful scenic landscape. The option of electric bikes is a great option for us that are not so comfortable with hills.
Cannot recommend this enough.. we will definitely be back to try another route!

This was our first time on ebikes and cycling on the roads. But we finished feeling like pros. The owners were extremely helpful, they gave us a thorough explanation of how to use the ebike along with an information booklet to take on the journey with us. They provided us with helmets and two bottles of water each, along with a gps map route that attaches onto the bicycle. I must say this was an exceptional experience, definitely recommend for those wanting a cycling experience. The roads are really quiet so it’s safe enough for cyclists. There are also various sizes of bicycles available; extra small to large, to suit your height.
